Almost two weeks after the coup in Niger, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is still looking for a solution to the crisis. In an interview with Deutschlandfunk, Uschi Eid, President of the German Africa Foundation, stresses that the West should support ECOWAS instead of interfering.
