The African Ambassadors Labour Mobility Summit 3.0 is an annual programme dedicated to strengthening cooperation between Germany and African countries in the crucial area of skilled labour migration. The third edition took place on 19 September 2025 in Berlin and focused on the theme: “Building Transparency and Trust in Migration Agreements between Germany and African States”.
The summit serves as a central platform for open dialogue between German and African decision-makers, civil society, the diaspora and other experts. This year, the focus was on developing transparent and trustworthy bilateral agreements to meet the growing demand for skilled workers in Germany and to tap into the enormous potential of qualified African workers.
These and other issues were at the centre of the discussion hosted by the German Africa Foundation (DAS), Giving Africa a New Face e.V. (GAaNF) & 360° Alliance and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES).
