Afrikapost aktuell: Germany’s Africa Policy in Transition – Impulses for a Future-Oriented Partnership

Malheureusement, cette étude et Afrikapost aktuell qui l’accompagne ne sont actuellement disponibles qu’en allemand et en anglais.

In a time of profound geopolitical upheaval— such as the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, the growing geopolitical influence of the BRICS states, and escalating trade conflicts— Germany and Europe are facing major security and economic policy challenges. This makes it all the more important to forge new strategic partnerships. Africa’s role as a geopolitical actor and future partner has gained increasing importance in recent years—and without close cooperation with the continent, the global challenges of our time will hardly be resolved. Africa‘s population is young and growing. The continent possesses immense natural resources and, due to its geographic location along strategically important trade routes, is a key factor for both political and economic stability worldwide.
