On 25 April, we welcomed the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Malawi, Hon. Nancy G. Tembo, to a luncheon with members of the German Bundestag and representatives of ministries. In the protected space, those present were able to openly exchange views on the current situation in Malawi after Cyclone Freddy as well as the German response. Current developments in the region, Malawi’s role in this and important starting points for the future of German-Malawian cooperation were also discussed.
