On 19 May 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Mozambique, H.E. Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas, and her delegation paid a visit to the German Africa Foundation.
Discussions with representatives from various ministries, political foundations and the business community focused, among other things, on the National Dialogue in Mozambique, President Daniel Chapo’s commitment to reform, and improving the framework conditions for business and investment.
Other topics included water management, the role of the Mozambican diaspora in Germany, and the security situation in the north of the country.
The discussions highlighted the importance, in times of geopolitical change, of the partnership between the two countries, which are celebrating 50 years of bilateral relations this year.
