On Wednesday, 6 July 2022, the German Africa Foundation (DAS) and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) hosted a summer reception in honour of the African Diplomatic Corps. The 120 participants, also including representatives of German politics and business, were able to interact in a friendly atmosphere. Against the backdrop of the G7 Summit, which took place at Schloss Elmau from 26 to 28 June under the German Presidency, H.E. Cheikh Tidiane Sall (Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal), Dr. Jörg Kukies (State Secretary in the Federal Chancellery) and Dr. Christian Buck (Head of Directorate-General 3 in the Federal Foreign Office) discussed the outcomes regarding infrastructure, energy, climate, food security and health as well as Germany’s future Africa policy.
